We live in a generation of many many sensitive beings.
(alongside a lot of desensitized beings)
Or maybe people have always been sensitive, and social media has just enlightened it.
Regardless, i feel everyone has a right to their sensitivity. Everything is not ok. But this new wave of cancel culture, i'm not feeling at all. Specifically because cancel culture is mainly targeted at celebrities.
Of course, some of them deserve to be cancelled especially if it's a repeated behavior + no FORMAL apology

but we must remember that we are all HUMANS living a HUMAN experience.
Nobody's safe from it. Literally NO ONE.
It's 100% ok to call someone out on their bullshit (respectfully if not disrespected) , as humans we need that open dialogue + open honesty, however many people don't give others a chance before dragging them through the mud.
Slow down, please.
Back to the celebrity case, they're humans right along with us so-called normal people. They fuck up. We all fuck up. We have all done dirt, let's PLEASE stop acting holier than thou.
It's not fair. One slip up and that person is cancelled for life with no room or acceptance for sincere apologies + admittance of the fuck up and stupidity.
Plus, social media has made it so much easier to attack people, mainly celebrities, for their mistakes when in real life NOTHING would be said. At least not to the same degree of disrespect as online. As behind a screen.
If you're going to be quick to cancel someone at least have the balls to fight for your cause with the same energy in person as applied online.
Honestly people. think of your personal fuck-ups.
Have you forgiven yourself?
Do you ever expose your dirt + darkness?
What makes you think you're so great?
Many of us are safe from cancel culture because we don't have a limelight shed on us.
Be thankful.
I'm extremely thankful, i personally believe i'd suck at being a celebrity with all that negative energy being thrown my way.
Give yourself the heat you give unto others, because trust and believe boo, you are NOT perfect. You say + do stupid shit from time to time. Embrace it. Accept it. Empathize BECAUSE of it.
